Tank testing of Sentinel Marine’s new 62m Multi Role ERRV has now completed. The scaled model can been seen attached to an electrical resistance dynamometer on-board the towing carriage which allows records of tank temperature, carriage speed and model resistance to be measured. From the observed wave patterns and resistance results, this hull design indicates a very good performance both for crew comfort as well as fuel efficiency. The 4 + 4 build series is on target to complete construction and enter service in the North Sea during 2015.
